Classes and Workshops
I have a variety of classes being offered in my studio. Tuitions include all materials and provide tools for you to use. Classes are small. Usually only one or two students. Arrangements can be made for larger groups.
Wire Wrapping to Wire Weaving
See what all the excitement is about as you discover the fun and intricacies of wire wrapping. You'll be intrigued by the uniqueness and individual style you will create with each skill you learn. This is truly a skill building class and we will go at your pace. Generally, each class is about 2 hours. We will cover different tools, different wire and their properties. And different techniques for different styles. This artform cannot be taught in one class, so you will probably need to take several. Practice is strongly recommended. There is no soldering in this class. Not recommended for children.

Basic Beaded Jewelry Construction
Join the fun and learn to make your own beaded jewelry. We will use a variety of materials including all sorts of beads, findings and materials. There's also a class on the ins and outs of recycling costume jewelry found in attics and yard sales. The is a fun, make it and take it home class. Each student will learn a new skill in designing and making bracelets, necklaces or earrings. Basically, you tell me what you want to make, and I'll show you how. Great for mother-daughter activities or even bridal events. Please, no children under the age of 12. (Parental permission is required)

Sea Glass and Beach Stone Drilling
Want to display your summer finds in an artful way and have fun doing it? I can show you how to drill your glass and stones (usually the soft gray stones. Won't work with quartz or harder stones) to make sun catchers and mobiles to display proudly or give as a gift. String them up! I usually have some form of copper wire to hang them from, but you can use driftwood also. I don't recommend drilling shells because they can be toxic. Safety is a first. Please bring cheater glasses if you need them. This is an adults only class. Safety Glasses Required.
Single Class....$35 per person.
Ask about rental time if you want to use the drill on your own.
Are you a High School Art Teacher?
Do you like to have guest artists come into your class and teach something different with your students? I have been a guest artist in residence at two local high schools over the past few years and let me tell you, the kids love it. I teach them basic wire wrapping with copper, pliers and pretty stones. It even worked well with a ceramics class where the students made their own "stones".
